Delta Waves Response to Covid-19
Slowing the spread of corona-virus is key in reducing the number of ill individuals who may need medical care. Everyone should exercise utmost caution and follow public health guidelines regarding social distancing and avoiding unnecessary contact with others. Strict adherence to these guidelines is critical.
Delta Waves is closely monitoring events in our local / state community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as new trustworthy information presents. Our highest priority is to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible. We are strictly following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene and infection control.
Please Be Patient As We Implement Appropriate Health & Safety Precautions
In order for us to continue providing safe and appropriate care, we are requesting that everyone who is able, convert their appointment to a tele-medicine appointment. Our tele-medicine platform is extremely user friendly and allows you to receive the care you need without unnecessary risk of exposure. We are currently offering tele-medicine appointments for primary care, pediatrics, geriatric care, limited neurology, limited psychiatry, and sleep medicine.
Before coming to our office, all patients must consider these questions:
We are actively screening all patients before they are allowed to enter the building. You will be asked the questions above and your temperature will be taken before you may enter. If you are not experiencing the aforementioned symptoms and you arrive at Delta Waves for routine care, sleep studies, or research appointments you must use hand sanitizer upon entering. (There is a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall to the left of the entry.)
We are offering drive up testing for Covid-19 if needed. Test kits are in limited supply and testing will be dependent on current inventory. Please call ahead to inquire on the availability of testing, as our inventory changes daily.
Lastly, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made efforts to set up home offices for staff members that have household or personal health risks. We will be updating our phone systems this Wednesday, March 25 to support that effort. We are not anticipating any issues with the transition, however, if you do experience any problems getting through to our office, please let us know by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org right away, so we may work toward correcting them and so we may contact you.
On behalf of the staff at Delta Waves, we thank you for your continued trust in us and wish you strength, health and peace during these uncertain times.
