Delta Waves Response to Covid-19

Slowing the spread of corona-virus is key in reducing the number of ill individuals who may need medical care. Everyone should exercise utmost caution and follow public health guidelines regarding social distancing and avoiding unnecessary contact with others. Strict adherence to these guidelines is critical.

 

Delta Waves is closely monitoring events in our local / state community and continuously updating our policies and protocols as new trustworthy information presents. Our highest priority is to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible. We are strictly following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene and infection control.

Please Be Patient As We Implement Appropriate Health & Safety Precautions

Delta Waves is performing Drive-by COVID-19 testing on patients who have any of the following:

 

  • Fever Greater than 100.4
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Any direct contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days

 

Or any combination of 2 (two) of the following:

 

  • Dry Cough
  • Headache
  • Tightness in the chest
  • Any new Gastrointestinal issues (Diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain)
  • Any indirect exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days.

 

To schedule a Drive-by test, please call our office at 719-262-9283 and choose option 1 at the prompt.

 

In order for us to continue providing safe and appropriate care, we are requesting that everyone who is able, convert their appointment to a tele-medicine appointment. Our tele-medicine platform is extremely user friendly and allows you to receive the care you need without unnecessary risk of exposure. We are currently offering tele-medicine appointments for primary care, pediatrics, geriatric care, limited neurology, limited psychiatry, and sleep medicine.

 

We are actively screening all patients before they are allowed to enter the building. You will be asked several questions your temperature will be taken before you may enter. If you are NOT experiencing Covid 19 symptoms and you arrive at Delta Waves for routine care, you must use hand sanitizer upon entering. (There is a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall to the left of the entry.)
